This post brings me to the last day of our Colorado vacation.  *tear*  Most of our trip we flew by the seat of our pants, but one thing we did plan, whitewater rafting.  Brooke booked us a trip down The Numbers with A.V.A.  The Numbers is host to 7 class III-IV rapids.  Knowing what we know now, next time we are going for the big water, class V.  Either way, we had a blast.  I don’t think any of us quit smiling or giggling the entire way down the river.  Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics from the rafting trip.  I guess I better hang onto the mental images as long as I can.

We drove from Basalt to Granite, our raft launching destination.  Magnificent scenery met us at every turn along the way.  Hands down, this was the most beautiful drive I have ever done.  Independence Pass is a definite must see…don’t miss it if you are in the area.

Colorado Springs was the last stop on our trip.  Pampering ourselves for the final night, we booked a hotel room at the Hilton Antlers.  As luck would have it, there was a local micro-brewery and restaurant just across the street.  Indulging in the tasty offerings of micro-brew, we enjoyed a great dinner and lots of laughs.  We ended the trip on a very high note.  Is it time to go back yet?
